The climate crisis and the energy transition are no longer challenges of the distant future. Beyond generating energy in an environmentally sound way, the need now is for integrated solutions that store it efficiently, operate it intelligently, and supply it reliably wherever it is required.

REC's Innovation connects every stage seamlessly — from the development, design and construction, and operation and maintenance of solar and small hydropower plants through to the forecasting, control, and power trading of distributed energy. Building on solar EMS (Sun-Q), small hydro EMS (Hy-Q), PMS for ESS (PMS-EQ), the AI-based virtual power plant platform (VPP-OnQ), and EQ RTU Pro 2.0, we integrate renewable energy, ESS, demand response, and microgrids into a single intelligent energy operating system.

To secure future competitiveness in the energy industry, we are also expanding research and development in AEM water electrolysis and next-generation batteries. We are developing core green hydrogen components spanning non-precious-metal electrolysis catalysts and electrodes, corrosion-resistant bipolar plates, MEAs, and stacks, while steadily advancing high-safety battery technology based on high-manganese, high-energy cathode materials and flame-retardant electrolytes. Carrying laboratory technology through to field demonstration, standardisation, mass production, and market entry is REC's Innovation's principle of technology commercialisation.

We are extending the technology and operating experience accumulated in Korea into overseas business, including Central Asia and Africa. Together with foreign governments, public institutions, universities, and companies, we develop projects in renewable energy, ESS, microgrids, energy-independent smart farms, carbon reduction, and international development cooperation, raising energy access in each region and contributing to sustainable growth.

Through technology commercialisation that spans integrated renewable energy operation to AEM water electrolysis, REC's Innovation aims to be an impact deep tech company that realises carbon neutrality and widens access to energy. We will turn the potential of technology into real industrial and social value, and build a future energy ecosystem that our customers and partners can trust.
